Spring Allergies

Written by on ,

Spring has been slow in coming to the Northeast this year, with lingering cold temperatures and occasional flurry. But it is clear that the spring weather on the way at a family gathering this past weekend when my brother was very allergic sneezing no less than 100 times. I could exaggerate the number, but I think he would agree that it may also have many. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. After the warm weather and the flowers and trees begin to bloom, he might add watery and itchy eyes, runny nose, and itchy throat for a list of symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Try the spring allergies, so your little one can smell the flowers without sneezing.

Do not just bounce off the drug for treatment. See allergy that can perform tests to identify what you or your child is allergic to, which will help determine how best to treat it. Allergist can also manage allergy shots that will cure you of your allergies. Or, try the neti pot - but ask your child's doctor before using it on your child.

Probably not seasonal allergies. Maybe there are other things in your environment that triggers you. To rule out other possibilities, be sure to wash bedding in hot water every two weeks (to guard against dust mites), use non-toxic insect repellent in your home to rid it of cockroaches and other pests, and avoid products with added fragrance.

Be proactive about treating your allergies. If there is no treatment that will bring you or your child relief, began to take or give it to your child before the change of seasons and symptoms kick.

Keep the trigger of your home. Keep windows closed and use air conditioning as much as possible.

Wash clothing and shower after spending time outdoors. Vacuum frequently and consider using a HEPA filter in your bedroom or your child. Do not dry clothes and bedding on the outside line.

Leave cutting and other outdoor tasks to others. If you have to do work outside the home, consider wearing a mask in the mouth and nose, and do not let your child allergic to pitch.

Add more broccoli, kale, oranges, onion, garlic, parsley, and collard greens to your diet. These foods contain vitamins and nutrients that can help fight fever.

Check weather forecasts and pollen. Avoid spending time outdoors on dry, windy days, or when pollen counts are high. The best time to go out is night and after heavy rain.
