Three Main Types of Food Allergies

A food allergy is a side effect that occurs when the human body believe that certain types of dangerous food. It is an immune reaction to food antigens. There are three main types of food allergies. It is important to distinguish between these because they are all different types of immune reactions to food antibodies.

Three main types of food allergies can be classified as follows:
• Acute symptoms of type 1
• asymptomatic type 1
• Delayed type III

Acute symptoms of type 1

Types of allergies can be attributed largely to immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies. In cases such as allergy symptoms occur soon after the relevant food ingested. In other words, the reaction tends to direct IgE and thus they cause allergic reactions clear. IgE antibodies attach to mast cells and basophils or mastocytes in tissue in certain areas of the body such as the skin, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, nose and throat. This causes the release of large amounts of histamine and cause allergic reactions such as sneezing, itching, inflammation, stomach cramps, etc. In extreme cases there may be a sudden fall of blood pressure. Types of food allergies ranging in intensity from mild to almost fatal.

Asymptomatic type 1

IgG4 antibodies asymptomatic characteristics of food allergy type 1. Instead of building IgE immune system build IgG4 antibodies due to various factors. This is associated with delayed food reactions and the patient may not experience the common symptoms for allergy. IgG4 capacity to release histamine very weak and there is no inflammatory reaction. IgG4 can be considered as an antidote of IgE. IgG4 is not recommended to detect adverse food reactions.

Delayed type III

In this form are not dominant IgG4 antibodies, but may be IgG, IgG1 or IgG3 which can trigger allergy symptoms. Symptoms can appear almost three days after consumption of certain foods with the antigen and if they are not diagnosed early the disease can become chronic rather than acute. Symptoms differ from one type of food allergy.

Type III (delayed reaction) is estimated to affect up to 50% of the population. When the body can not tolerate certain foods produce the inflammatory response and the continued consumption of certain foods physical symptoms may appear after a few days. Mild inflammation settles in various parts of the body and manifests itself with different symptoms. When a person suffering from this type of allergy III during a prolonged period of time can lead to chronic diseases such as type II diabetes or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) among other diseases. Other symptoms can be headaches and migraines, skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, gastrointestinal disease, weight gain, high blood pressure and others

All three types of allergies are characterized by different immunoglobulin antibodies and they have
different symptoms.
